Do you also know that Jordan is ranked as one of the sighseeing places you have to travel during your lifetime recommended by National Geograpy Magazine? Here comes Mr. Abrahim Alshakhatreh (許柏翰先生),who can tell you further about Jordan, Arabic languages, Arabic character and Middle East cultures. Let’s go!
Our school is always dedcated to spreading students international viewpoints very much. In order to develop school internationalization,
increase international interflow chances and expand students vision, we honorably invited a Jordanian, Abrahim Alshakhatreh and Yang, Yao-chi (楊耀琦老師), a senior counselor from Central Guidance Group of Keelung to visit our school for a cross-culture interflow activity On Sep. 26th.
In the beginning, Mr. Alshakhatreh introduced the geological location about Jordan. Furthermore, he caught the students’ eye with the wonderful photos in which he drove a helicopter in person. Abrahim also unveiled the mysterious veil of Middle East by sharing resorts, camels, petroleum, black robe culures, architectures, schools and coins etc. with the students. He especially introduced Dead Sea which can even make unable to swim people floatable completely because of its high ingredient of salt. Our students were really amazed by the photos.
With respect to an old architecture, Petra, another name called Rose City, surrounded by cliffs, was totally sculptured on rocks. This city is full of ancient cultures, and now it becomes a flowing tourist spot. Finally, Mr. Alshakhatreh taught our students about how to read Abrabic letters and tie the scarf. Time flies. This interflow activity really delighted our students and finished in a happy ending.
After this
activity, Mr. Yang and Mr. Alshakhatreh shared with our prinicipal,
“Your students are really good and smart. They can positively offer
questions, which overturn our tranditional opinions about junior
high school students.” “Time is limited. If we have another chance
in the future, we hope Mr. Alshakhatreh can visit our school to
share Middle East food culures, which is not mentioned this time,
and gives the best affirmation to our studetns again for their good
performance. Our school always aggressively develops
internationalization, we hope to streghten students’s language
abilities and expand international viewpoints through various
learning activities.” said by Chang, Chih-ming, the principal of
